I just saw the new TV spot for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie and it has a couple of new shots that are sure to get folks talking. Here is the spot:

I think this movie has the potential to be the biggest Marvel movie of all time. I try not to be a prisoner in the moment so I still hold Captain America: The Winter Soldier to be the best Marvel movie of all time. I know everyone wants to put Spider-Man: No Way Home as the GOAT movie but not me. Time will tell just how successful Dr. Strange 2 will be but I have lofty expectations for this latest MCU installment.

Speaking of Marvel, the premiere episode of Disney+/Marvel’s new series Moon Knight aired this past Wednesday and man… is this show trippy. I like that Marvel is exploring more themes dealing with the supernatural and this series, much like next month’s Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, seem to be darker and diving into horror themes. I know what some of you are thinking – what in the world is this series about. Well… let the good folks over at YouTube’s New Rockstars break it down:

I’m really interested in seeing where this series goes and how it will connect to impending multiversal war.

Final Thoughts

  • The U.S. House of Representatives voted yesterday to approve a bill that will legalize marijuana. Now it will head to the Senate. I don’t see this bill passing in the Senate but the fact we’re at this point in the conversation is important. Let me clear about something – I don’t smoke nor ever had the desire to smoke marijuana but I do feel it has been brutally mischaracterized as this dangerous drug. I think it should be made legal – but I don’t see the corporations allowing that to happen.
  • With the NBA playoffs less than 2 weeks away, the Chicago Bulls find themselves hovering around the #5 seed and if that holds they get the Philadelphia 76ers as their 1st round opponent. The Bulls have lost 11 straight to the 76ers dating back to 2019 season. Joel Embiid playing at an MVP level and the Bulls’ problem with dominant big men spells certain disaster in the 1st round of the playoffs.
  • Sarah Barracuda is back. Former GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin is back in the political spotlight as she announced she’s running for U.S. Congress. Palin is aiming to replace the seat vacated by the late Alaskan Rep. Don Young. Welp…
  • Here’s some other things going on in the world that matter:
    • This jobs market chart tells the story where the jobs are… and that should make you think.
  • And finally… good luck to my North Carolina Tar Heels in hopes they defeat the repugnant evil that is Duke.
