The Age of Idiocracy

We are now 19 days removed from Election Day and the outgoing occupant of the White House STILL has not conceded & continues to do his grifting campaign to siphon as much money as he possibly can before he’s forced to leave office. Despite losing all but one of his lawsuits to try to either overturn election results or delay the certification of the votes, Agent Orange continues to insist the election was stolen from him.

Agent Orange continuing his charade is not the real problem here. The real problem is the lack of guts by the Republican Party to repudiate its outgoing president and the lack of intelligence among the American people to accept FACTS. We are in the age of Idiocracy where it’s completely accept to proudly display your ignorance.

Here are some examples of idiocy on parade just from this past week:

Geraldo Rivera considering naming the potential COVID vaccine after the outgoing occupant of the presidency
A caller to the Rush Limbaugh claims he “would die” for the current occupant.
A parent calls her son’s school claiming his assignment about the election is wrong… and her source is OANN
Trump Campaign Lawyer Sydney Powell makes some ludicrous claims…

Speaking of Sydney Powell, life moves at you fast. This past Thursday she was making a complete fool of herself for the Trump Campaign but today…

How it started vs. How it’s going

What makes all of this so maddening is that there are people who don’t take the time to educate themselves will believe these lies. Case in point:

I fear that this country has been torn apart by arrogance, ignorance and a lack of common sense.

The COVID Storm Is Here

The USA is #1 for all the wrong reasons when it comes to COVID-19. As of today, the US has surpassed 12.2 million cases and over 255,000 deaths. Over the last 7 days the US has been averaging well over 150,000 new cases daily. In my home state of Illinois, the state ranked #1 in the country for new cases for today.

Hospitals across rural America are overrun. Essential equipment such as PPE are once again in very short supplies. Grocery stores are once again having to ration out toilet paper, paper towels and bleach products because people are too selfish to be considerate of others.

Despite the CDC recommending that people not travel during the Thanksgiving holiday, more than 1 million people traveled through airports on Friday. Despite pleas from health officials and politicians, some people still aren’t wearing masks:

If that’s not enough the current occupant’s administration continues to test positive for COVID-19. The latest were HUD Secretary Ben Carson, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and just this past Friday… Donald Trump, Jr.

It’s no coincidence that as America’s arrogance & ignorance continues to grow so too does this rampant spread of this awful virus.
